Judge Denies Defendant’s Motion to Use a Pseudonym In Sex Assault Case

On October 15, 2014, Judge Julia Aurigemma issued an order denying the defendant’s motion for permission to use a pseudonym in a sex assault case.  In the case of Doe v. Masselli ,which is pending in Middletown Superior Court, the plaintiff alleges that she was sexually attacked by the defendant, Tenzin Masselli.  Mr. Masselli was arrested and charged with Assault in the Third Degree.  He entered a “No Contest” plea to those charges.  When he was sued, he asked the court to allow him to try the case using a pseudonym.  The court has now denied that motion.  The plaintiff is represented by Connecticut Crime Victim Attorney Timothy O’Keefe.
