Settlement Approved in Windham Gunshot Case

Connecticut Crime Victim Lawyer Tim O’Keefe has announced that the Windham-Colchester Probate Court has approved the confidential settlement of a gunshot case that was filed in February, 2016.  “Immediately after we were retained by the gunshot victim’s family, we filed a lawsuit and application for attachment in the Superior Court.  The defendants’ insurance carriers initially and immediately denied insurance coverage for the claims.  We continued to keep the legal pressure on the insurance carrier and ultimately convinced it to change its position.  We intend to create a fund that will be used to supplement the care and needs of our client.”  Tim O’Keefe

Court Denies Motion to Dismiss in Child Molestation Case

Connecticut Crime Victim Lawyer Tim O’Keefe has announced that a Connecticut Superior Court judge has denied a defendant’s Motion to Dismiss in a child molestation case pending in Middletown Superior Court.  “The defendant, who molested his daughter when she was very young, is trying to escape culpability by claiming that he was already prosecuted for his crimes.  It may be a creative lawyer’s argument, but it has no basis in Connecticut law.”  Tim O’Keefe
