Connecticut Appellate Court Upholds $750,000.00 Attachment Order

On October 10, 2014, the Connecticut Appellate Court issued an order upholding a $750,000.00 attachment order that was previously issued after a hearing before Judge Samuel Sferrazza at Rockville Superior Court in Vernon, Connecticut.  The case involves Leo King, a van driver who was employed by EastConn Transportation of Hampton, Connecticut.  It is alleged that Mr. King repeatedly sexually assaulted a special needs student for a period of three months in late 2012.  Mr. King has been arrested and charged with Sexual Assault in the Second Degree.  Criminal charges are pending.

“The trial court’s order was issued after a full hearing where both parties had a full opportunity to be heard.  Mr. King’s appeal was frivolous and was an attempt to avoid full responsibility and accountability for his actions.  He has significantly harmed his victim and when we present all of the evidence to a jury, we expect he and his employer will be held fully accountable for those harms.”  Timothy O’Keefe, Kenny, O’Keefe & Usseglio, P.C., Hartford, Connecticut.
